Do you plan to offer any other payment methods like this? It seems coins of all types are really taking a turn within many online businesses that are now allowing virtual currencies.

    • braedan says:

Hi oldans, it looks like they are accepting PayPal and Perfect Money. You can read about it in the February blogs. There is a blog piece dedicated to both of these. It’s really good that they offer a variety of payments.

      • Justin says:

I’m sure that I saw that PayPal is accepted somewhere on the blog too. That one would make sense as it seems to be the most common method of payment processing on the web.

  2. Braedan says:

It seems more and more businesses online are starting to accept bitcoins as a payment method which is great. The more ways to pay the easier it is for me. I don’t collect bitcoins but obviously there is enough people using it to justify companies accepting it.

  3. Raffy says:

You’re right Braedan, it seems like more businesses are recognizing bitcoin consumers and want to accept it. This is great for people who want to use bitcoin currency instead of other payment methods. Although I don’t think it will be the currency of the future I am sure it will be around for a while. Either way, you are taking a step in the right direction

I can see interest in it growing potentially, thanks to the sensationalist news stories that have hit. When people are making big money from interest gained in this currency, it will build popularity.

      • raffy says:

With bitcoins, however, unless you are trading in them or mining, you probably don’t want to go exchange cash for bitcoins,. Cash is more readily available to most people.

  4. Abigail says:

I have never used BitCoin before. How widely accepted is this as a currency, and can you withdraw a balance to a bank account, or link it to your bank to pay?

  5. Justin says:

BitCoin has never been my preference but I know many people for whom it is. It’s nice to see an increase in options being given to people, to let them make their own choices.

    • Anita says:

I also don’t find BitCoin to be a preference of mine. I’ve never tried to collect them or mine them. I guess it is great for those who do collect them, though.

  6. Puhlease says:

How does the privacy when using BitCoin, compare to that when using other services to make or receive a payment? And how secure are your bank details during transactions?

    • Puhlease says:

Most of the non-banking payment processors tend to be a layer between you and the bank, so that you don’t actually end up handing over your details. But some have been affected by security issues in the past (like the Heart Bleed issue).

Seems to me everyone is jumping on the Bitcoin bandwagon these days. I think it’s great when a company offers different forms of payment and bitcoin seems to be another currency that is taking off for a lot of people.

  8. Giselle says:

Bitcoin does seem to be in the forefront lately, PEvans. Although I don’t know anyone who actually uses bitcoins or has bitcoins, it seems to be popular enough that they are creating ATMs for it. Quite a few online sites are now accepting bitcoins as payment, so it’s great for their clientelle that they are doing the same here.

  9. Anita says:

I’ve been seeing a lot of websites using Bitcoin. I assume that a lot of companies want to pay with Bitcoin now too. I’ve never used Bitcoin but I might have to look into using it.
